After years of struggling with the compromises of MplayerX great interface, unreliable audio sync and VLC strong playback, wonky interface , I just found Movist and I'm besotted!

It asking every time for permission to play a video is annoying. Once you start to use Osx Unisntaller, there is no need to manually locate app files left behind any more. I give the Movist developers a lot of credit for getting this product to work as well as it does, and for continued free updates. Lot's of weird behaviors, especially with fullscreen, but the worst is that it's not remembering play position anymore. Click Complete Uninstall in Step 2, and click Yes to confirm removal.
